A Sacred Evening: Preparing Our Hearts on Good Friday

As the sun sets on Good Friday, we gather in solemn reflection, stepping into a sacred space of remembrance and reverence. This evening is unlike any other, set apart for us to pause, to feel the weight of Christ’s sacrifice, and to prepare our hearts for the glory of Resurrection Sunday.

At Arbor Christian Fellowship, our Good Friday service at 6 p.m. will be a time of deep worship, scripture, and contemplation. It is an evening to quiet our hearts, to stand at the foot of the cross, and to remember the love poured out for us. The echoes of Christ’s final words—“It is finished”—remind us of the immeasurable grace we have received.

This is a night of reflection, but also of hope. In the stillness, we find the promise that Sunday is coming. In the darkness, we trust that the light of resurrection will break forth. As we prepare our hearts, we are invited to enter into the depth of Christ’s love, to lay down our burdens, and to be renewed in the hope that the empty tomb brings.
